AEA-Europe Accredited Practitioner with over 20 years' experience in educational assessment, systems, and data.

Samantha is an established leader in educational assessment and data strategy, with a long track record supporting schools, trusts, regulators, and ministries. She previously held senior roles at GL Assessment, Renaissance Learning, the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (Durham University, now Cambridge University Press & Assessment).

Sam has led development of norm referenced assessments and learning products used in over 100 countries and has experience across the full assessment development lifecycle. Her work includes large scale test development and delivery, working in the UK and internationally to conduct extensive trialling and mixed methods research. She is passionate about validity and reliability in educational measurement and has a keen academic interest in factors impacting assessment integrity.

Sam began her career supporting schools directly, developing MIS-integrated platforms that brought together assessment, attendance, and behaviour data to provide actionable insight at pupil, class, and cohort level. At local authority level, she led statutory data coordination, with responsibility for analysis and publication of key performance results across all key stages. Her expertise in turning complex data into actionable insight positioned her as a trusted adviser to schools and emerging multi-academy trusts, guiding implementation of cohesive assessment and learning systems.

Currently progressing toward chartership with the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors, she remains deeply committed to equity in education and the belief that assessment and data systems should enhance, not burden teaching. With innovation at the core, her mission is to deliver affordable, high-quality solutions that place student outcomes at the centre while reducing workload and supporting teacher wellbeing.
